For years I have wanted to make Tamales, but never have because, well, I also have some reservations about cooking with lard and I also living with a jewish man who keeps Kosher so….the lard thing is really not an option. Then there is the corn husk soaking and the steaming, something about these delicious comfort food carb bombs that I love to eat when I am in Mexico or at a Mexican restaurant have always seemed inaccessible to me as a cook. Silly right? But there you have it. Now, thanks to Mira and Daniel Tamales are within reach! I am so Psyched!
