There used to be a fish place in Miami that had the best conch chili – it was probably the best chili I’ve ever eaten and I would never have imaged you could even make chili with Conch meat. Normally sold just as meat (no shell included) I thought these were a unique find, siting in a plastic tub on Grand street.
I’m going to be lazy this weekend. Yesterday was Neil and I’s 26th anniversary – we went to the rooftop bar at the Wyeth Hotel and then to my new favorite place Reynard (it’s kind of the Odeon/Markham of right now) and is the restaurant in the hotel – which is owned and run by the folks behind Diner and Marlowe and a must visit (if only for cocktails).
