…or why it is I didn’t blog on Friday! I was in the black hole of my kitchen trying to prepare everything for this party. My goal this summer is to try and get everything that needs to be cooked – cooked well in advance of people arriving so that the air conditioner only has to deal with cooling the room down and isn’t given the added burden of the heat from the stove. Especially given the heat outside is so oven-like!
This is the third time I have made many of these items and I think that I am developing a summer menu repertoire with these items as my mainstays: Soft hard-boiled Eggs with Aioli and Anchovy, Kale Cesar, Succotash with Green Beans, Sweet Corn (and boy is the corn every sweet and delicious this year) and Tomato.
Next up is German New Potato Salad with grain mustard.
