Creme Fraiche Ice Cream

This is so easy and so damn tasty! I served it with Concord Grape Pie and it was a winner.

Mix in a blender: 2 cups creme fraiche, 2 cups buttermilk, 1/3 cup lemon juice and 1 1/4 cups sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy – about 2 minutes.

If all of the ingredients are cold you can go ahead and process in your ice cream maker. If not put them back in the fridge until the mixture is well chilled, then process in your ice cream maker.

Simple, easy and so tasty!

My love of travel has no limits really, I'm always ready to get on a plane. I was lucky enough to have a business for many years that allowed me to spend a lot of time in South East Asia. These days I've been spending time in Mexico, Germany, Canada and the West Coast of the U.S., but check back you never know where I might end up.     If it contains dairy, it’s not sorbet…

      Indeed – thanks for that! I always get Sherbet, which I grew up with and has a little dairy in it, and Sorbet confused (obviously) and in looking at this recipe, which I posted quite a while back, I think it actually qualifies as an Ice Cream!

        well thanks for rediscovering the recipe for me because I wrote it so long ago I’d forgotten and as luck would have it Concord Grape season is upon us so I can make some to go with my Concord Grape pie!
